Expert seminar on process water treatment in hospitals

Minimization of process risks in the reprocessing of medical devices

Minimization of process risks

Module 1: Process Water Treatment in Clinics

Target Audience: Management, Technical Management, Purchasing Management, and Employees from CSSDs / Central Sterile Supply Departments / Technical Services

Seminar Objective:

Achieve 100% media safety in process water treatment to optimally minimize process risks for the reprocessing of medical devices.

Hygiene requirements for medical products are continuously gaining importance. A crucial aspect of this is water treatment for sterilization processes according to DIN EN 285, which normatively regulates feed water and condensate.

However, practical experience shows that the limit values specified in the current standard for feed water and condensate can still lead to premature wear of plant equipment, sterilized goods, and instruments. This inadequately meets the hygienic requirements for sterile medical products and the protection of patients and investments.

In Module 1, our speaker Ralf Kurzrock will present the current state of the standard compared to the state of technology and knowledge in concise lectures. Together with the participants, a safety concept for media supply will be developed for secure process water treatment, involving group work and practical examples.

The seminar content will be reflected in group work, taking into account potential savings, individual obstacles, or structural barriers of the participants.
