Testomat® 808 SiO2 Silicate Measuring Instrument

The Testomat® 808 Silicate enables the long-term monitoring of the silicate content in water.

For the supply of pure steam generators, cleaning and disinfection devices (RDG), container washing systems (CWA), sterilisation units and rinsing stations with the generated pure water, monitoring the limit values according to DIN EN 285 or the limit values recommended by the working group for instrument preparation and the DGSV for feed water and condensate is of crucial importance.

Only professional monitoring of the silicate limit value guarantees the necessary ultrapure water quality.

If the limit values are exceeded, there is a risk that discolouration, deposits and corrosion will permanently damage the surgical instruments and the supply technology used.

Consumables

The Testomat® 808 SiO2 reagents are chemical reagents specially designed to measure the silicate content of water samples. They are used together with the Testomat® 808 silicate limit value measuring instrument to determine the silicate content of water quickly and precisely.

The Testomat® 808 SiO2 reagents play an important role in measuring the silicate content in numerous areas, especially in clinical practice, to analyse silicates in process water for sterile equipment preparation.

To achieve precise and reliable results, it is essential that the Testomat® 808 SiO2 reagents are used and stored according to the instructions.

The meter only needs to be calibrated when the dosing pumps are replaced. This requires the use of silicate-free water.

A compact filter cartridge is available for this purpose, which is integrated into the water inlet of the device for calibration to ensure this at every connection point in the simplest way possible.

Service sets are available for this device for carrying out maintenance and servicing work.

Miniature UV system

UV disinfection is an effective method of ensuring high purity standards while taking into account possible microbiological contamination. This system can be optionally integrated into the recirculation line.

UV-C rays, which are formed, have a significantly higher intensity than sunlight and are therefore used to sterilise water. In the field of disinfection, this technology is used to eliminate viruses, protozoa, bacteria, microbes and legionella.

Advantages:

  • The integration into the system concept is uncomplicated and fast
  • The physical sterilisation is completely done by UV irradiation
  • The process is chemical-free
  • No unpleasant aroma or smell
  • There are no toxic by-products
  • It requires less maintenance

Design:

  • UV system with 40W lamp at 250J/m2 max. flow rate 35 l/min. at 400J/m2 max. flow rate 21 l/min.
  • UV system with 25W lamp (system-specific design)

The lamp is only functional when it is correctly installed in the filter head of the steriliser.
